ACT Mobile Locksmith is seeking an Apprentice Locksmith to join our team. Earn while you learn in a well-organised local Business.
About the apprenticeship
As an apprentice Locksmith your primary job will be servicing and installing locks and door hardware, as well as providing security advice to customers. You will be working under 4 Qualified locksmiths and will be learning the skills as you go, while getting paid.
The apprenticeship will last 4 years, which includes 6 months of skills training at TAFE, and 3.5 years on the job experience.
At the end of the apprenticeship you will be a qualified locksmith, and will receive a cert3 in Locksmithing.

We offer standard locksmithing services and don’t do any electronic work. About 90% of the work we do is residential. Our focus is doing quality work and providing highly personalised customer service.
We have a good team and really good systems in place to allow you to focus on your work without distractions. We have a really good culture amongst our team of locksmiths, and we are looking for the right person to join us.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an Apprentice who has a high level of integrity, a mature attitude and is keen to learn. Must be able to pass a police check and will be required to maintain a security licence and a WWVP card.
Duties will include:
• Attending job sites for servicing of locks and door hardware
• Installation of locks and door hardware
• Advise customers on security options
• Providing instruction on the correct operation of locks to customers
• Maintaining stock levels and presentability of a work vehicle

We aren't trying to be the biggest locksmith in ACT. We are a good group of guys who stay in our lane and look after our customers well. We say no to jobs that aren't in our wheelhouse and just focus on doing a good job on those we do. All staff are happy to be at work and we genuinely have a stress-free environment.

Skills/ experience required:
• Finished year 12 preferred
• Previous experience with tools/ trades highly regarded.
• Drivers Licence
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work independently with good work ethic
• Able to take on a 4 year commitment.
