MEGT has partnered with Major Training and the ABIS Housing Community Co-Operative Society to offer 18 week, full-time traineeships to First Nations participants in Townsville through the Painting Futures II program.
Painting Futures II - Townsville is a continuation of the successful Painting Futures programs that have been conducted throughout Queensland.
Get a qualification that’s recognised Australia-wide
Painting Futures II participants repaint Indigenous community housing across the Currajong, Rasmussen, Heatley, Thuringowa and Hyde Park areas.
Working alongside and learning from experienced First Nations mentors, they learn painting and decorating skills to help them towards a Certificate I in Construction qualification.
MEGT provide full wrap around support during the program, including help to find employment or apprenticeship opportunities at the completion of the program.
