We specialise in the design and manufacture of Torque Converters, Automatic Transmissions - including the diagnosis, repair, and enhancement of high-performance vehicles, many being raced at Motorplex. Our focus is on automatic transmissions, torque converters, custom fabrication, and a wide range of mechanical tasks. We are heavily involved with the modification of high performance drag and street cars.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Apprentice to assist our skilled technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and develop their skills in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, dismantling, and assembling automatic transmissions, as well as participate in general mechanical duties learning from one of the best in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the dismantling and assembly of automatic transmissions
- Assist in the diagnosis of transmission and mechanical issues.
- Perform general mechanical duties, including maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are used properly.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in the automotive industry, particularly in high-performance vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical components.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience or a related qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Manual drivers licence an advantage
