Painting Futures Scouts (QLD)

MEGT has partnered with The Scouts Association of Australia, Aussie Painters Network and the National Institute of Construction Skills to deliver Painting Futures (Scouts) program in Ashgrove, Queensland.

The program offers a paid traineeship to candidates aged 15 years or more, including:

  • First Nations peoples
  • People with disability
  • Veterans and ex-Australian Defence Force personnel
  • Recently-released prisoners
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse people
  • Women re-entering the workforce
  • Under-utilised or under-employed workers

 

Get a qualification that’s recognised Australia-wide

Painting Futures (Scouts) participants will repaint a building in the Oakleigh Scout Den, learning painting and decorating skills while working towards a Certificate I in Construction under the expert guidance of experienced mentors.

MEGT provide full wrap around support during the program, including help to find employment or apprenticeship opportunities at the completion of the program.
