The Gospel Barber Shop is currently seeking an Apprentice Hairdresser to join our salon.
We are a friendly team of hairdressers who strive for professionalism and excellence in all aspects of our work, we are helpful and always willing to give you assistance to improve and excel, whilst having FUN doing it! Being a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentice is an added bonus however we are also open to someone serious and very keen to enter the hairdressing field. We have a qualified Hair Stylist who you'll be shadowing and working alongside with. Our Hair Stylist works part time but we can arrange more hours if required
If you have a genuine interest in hair and wish to gain hands on experience in the industry, then this may be the job for you.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is motivated
- Is keen to learn all aspects of the trade
- Is passionate about hairdressing
- Has good customer service skills
- Has a happy & friendly personality
- Is a good team player
- Can work under pressure
Duties include:
- Greeting customers and answering phones.
- Performing hairdressing duties such as basin work, trims, and hair treatments.
- Salon tidying and general cleaning.
- Observing different treatments and assisting qualified hairdressers where needed.
- Attending in house training sessions where needed
