First Nations Business Traineeship

Do you have a passion for customer service and wanting to kick start your career as a banking customer advisor? This is your chance! Gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst completing a 12 Month Traineeship and Certificate III in Business.

Working within a local banking branch in Casino, this is a real career start within a supportive environment.

What will you be doing?
Working full time as a Business Trainee, you will learn and develop the skills to become a successful customer advisor. You will become the first point of contact for customers when they visit the retail branch.

Your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers with their enquires whilst providing a positive branch experience.
  • Engage in needs-based conversations with customers.
  • General banking and telling duties: money handling, facilitating transactions and ATM Maintenance.
  • Coaching customers on self-service and digital banking.
  • Assisting customers with opening and closing accounts, fraud and banking transactions.

What are we looking for?

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • A well-presented team-player with excellent work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills and sound computer knowledge
  • A reliable and punctual individual who demonstrates initiative
  • Demonstrated ability in cash handling and/or customer service
  • Satisfactory completion of a National Police Check
