Plant the seed of a great career!
I Got Landscaped – Brisbane is based upon the successful ‘I Got Brushed’ program. It provides wraparound support for 16 Indigenous participants as they work to obtain a Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, before moving into general employment.
Paid participants get access to specialist workshops and training to learn about culture, country, and community via traditional conservation techniques, native flora, and Indigenous food. These new skills are then used to provide landscaping and planting activities for BATSICCHA’s Indigenous community housing.
MEGT will also look to partner with the Department of Forestry, local councils, and forestry ranger initiatives to provide opportunities for participants to conduct conservation work in National Parks.
The program is co-delivered by Ballistic Training Solutions and the Brisbane Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Housing Authority (BATSICCHA). Hurry, places are limited!
This Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government.
