Engineering Apprentice Mechanical (Fitter)

We currently have an opportunity for the right person to undertake a Mechanical Fitter  apprenticeship Year 1 or 2 at our Rowville Food Manufacturing site.

Learn on the job training with our experienced team of mechanical fitters & obtain a National Trade Qualification through Chisholm. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Certificate III Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Trade qualification.

In return, you will be exposed to and supported with: 

  • Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment 
  • Assisting with root cause analysis investigations 
  • Completing inspection and test plans consistent with meeting corporate compliance standards 
  • Providing troubleshooting advice and reliability solutions 

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following: 

  • A genuine desire to become a qualified engineering mechanical fitter. 
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail 
  • Self-motivation with a positive work ethic 
  • Commitment to on and off the job training 
  • A willingness to learn and work within a team environment 
  • Strong commitment to Occupational Health & Safety
  • ​Driver licence and a reliable vehicle would be preferred
