JRD construct has an opportunity for an apprentice carpenter to join the team.
We are a small team of 3 predominantly working on roof frames but also do a few full timber frame builds/decks/ patios/etc.
Roof carpentry is arguably the best base for all around structural building knowledge covering many skills which can be applied to many projects.
Im happy to host work experience for school students who are keen on a trade but not really sure of what to expect onsite as a carpenter
To be successful you will need to have the following:
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work
- Be reliable and punctual
- Very keen to learn
- Have a basic knowledge of hand tools
- Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry
- Ability to get to and from work independently
Driver's licence is not required if you can get to Kingsley before and after work and must be willing to get licence when of age.
