MEGT, in partnership with Maroondah Council, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Parks & Gardens Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in horticulture, working alongside experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience and a formal qualification in Parks & Gardens.

About the Role
As a Parks & Gardens Apprentice, you'll learn the essential skills needed to maintain and care for public parks and green spaces within the community. This apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with structured coursework, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with hedging, pruning, planting, and landscaping tasks.
  • Learn to identify plant health issues, pests, and diseases.
  • Support the team in maintaining and improving parks & gardens.
  • Gain experience in operating and maintaining tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, contributing to the upkeep of community spaces.
