Electro Careers & Apprenticeships was established by the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) of South Australia / Northern Territory. We are dedicated to the electrotechnology industry and is committed to providing the right people to fulfil the skills needs of today and for the future.

As an Apprentice you'll work with a Host Employer, earning a wage and working alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. A dedicated Field Officer will perform regular workplace visits, ensuring you are being trained, supported and developed in the workplace as well as being provided with extensive Work Health and Safety support.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of different Host Employers and experience different aspects of the electrotechnology industry. Apprentices also attend a Nominated Training Organisation (NTO) to receive training and work towards nationally recognised qualifications.

About You

  • An Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Successfully completed Pre Vocational Program or VET in Schools Program
  • Hold a current drivers licence and have own transport or be prepared to obtain
  • Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment which may include a full functional capacity assessment and drug screen
  • Prepared to obtain a DCSI Child Related Employment Screening clearance once you have been offered employment

Candidates who meet our minimum selection criteria will be invited in to undertake a Readiness Assessment (if applicable) and successful candidates will start their Apprenticeship (or re-commence their Apprenticeship) from 2024.
