We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to start as a Trainee Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and patient-centred dental team. You will have the chance to learn from skilled dental professionals and gain invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive environment while at the same time working towards a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. 

Position: Trainee Dental Assistant – Full Time- Geelong

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring strict adherence to Infection Control and Work Health and Safety protocols is essential
  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments
  • Welcoming and comforting patients, ensuring they feel at ease
  •  Processing dental X-rays
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating files
  • Providing post-operative care instructions to patients
  • Handling phone calls and some reception duties

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent work ethics and a positive attitude towards others and receiving feedback
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with exceptional adaptability skills
  • Basic computer literacy
