Moore Marine are authorised dealers for Volvo Penta; marine and industrial, Yanmar diesel engines, John Deere marine engines, Onan marine generator sets, Mase generator sets.
Moore Marine has a fully equipped workshop that is able to handle large engine rebuilds, overhauls, re-powering, new installs along with regular ongoing servicing and repairs.
Moore Marine has a fleet of mobile workshop vehicles to travel to sites.
We are currently seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic apprentice to employ on a full time basis. Our workshop is located in Cleveland, South-East of Brisbane's CBD.
About the Role:
- Servicing and repairs to small to medium size marine diesel engines/transmissions.
- Industrial generator servicing/repairs.
- Working alongside qualified tradesmen to complete your apprenticeship.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic, servicing and repairs of a variety of marine engines from sailing yachts through to large vessels.
- Travel required.
- Some overtime work required.
- Able to work both autonomously unsupervised and with other employees.
- Ability to use initiative, a willingness to learn and have respect for work environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Completion of Year 12 High School Certificate.
- Physically fit.
