To assist in providing participant support across group and day programs, focusing on gaining skills in delivering effective disability support services. This traineeship role is designed to provide hands-on experience, contributing to the achievement of participants’ individual goals and promoting independence, in alignment with Interchange Shoalhaven’s mission to enable participants to live their lives, their way. Responsibilities: Work alongside Support Workers to assist participants in achieving their personal goals within group and day program settings. Support participants with community participation, group activities, and in-centre engagements. Develop skills in providing personal care, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, and feeding, under supervision.

Essential Criteria: Enrolment in or eligibility for Certificate III in Individual Support Disability

  • NDIS Worker Screening, or willingness to obtain.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
