Apprenticeships Queensland is currently seeking a Carpentry Apprentice to join one of our valued host employers' team. In this role you will gain, knowledge and experience from industry professionals.

DESCRIPTION: 

Carry out tasks related to the building, construction, and joinery trades, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson/instructor and consistent with apprenticeship year level. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Use carpentry tools & equipment.
  • Carry out general demolition of minor building structures.
  • Read and interpret, plans, specifications, and drawings for carpentry work.
  • Apply Workplace Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods
  • Genuine interest in the trade
  • Be a safe confident worker
  • Willingness to travel
  • White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)
  • Must have car & licence
  • Minimum of year 10 schooling
