Royans Group based in Sandgate are currently looking for an Apprentice Body Builder (Fabricator) to join the team. Royans Group has grown to become the country’s largest commercial vehicle accident repairer with sixteen fully equipped repair facilities throughout Australia. This Apprenticeship is full time and attending TAFE to complete a Certificate 3 in Automotive - Manufacturing Technical Operations. You will be working with qualified and highly skilled tradesmen, along with gaining valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.  

Duties will include, but not be limited to:  

  • Perform basic welding, thermal cutting, heating and gouging 
  • Remove and store vehicle body components
  • Assemble vehicle frames and axles
  • Assemble, install and test hydraulic system kits
  • Carry out spot welding 
  • Cleaning of the workshop 
  • Assisting tradesmen in all service areas

The successful candidate will:  

  • Be a confident communicator 
  • Motivated with a genuine interest in the automotive industry 
  • Be trustworthy and reliable
