  • Intravision is seeking several Telecommunications Technology Trainees to join our growing team in 2025.
  • Trainees will undertake a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology, with the opportunity to work within a strong and supportive team, growing your career and building your skills for longer term opportunities within our organisation.

All applicants must be Australian citizens and have the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance (NV1) in order for applications to be considered.

Traineeship Program:

The Certificate III, conducted by JB Hunter, is completed over a 2-year period and is made up of individual course units offered in a number of training blocks that are held on fixed dates throughout the year in Canberra.

This certification is a trade level qualification and provides those working in the telecommunications industry with a broad range of skills and a solid base for undertaking jobs which involve selecting, installing and configuring equipment in convergent technology networks. Participants also obtain their Open Cabler license by undertaking this course.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Intravision field teams, you will attend project sites under the supervision of qualified technicians and contribute to the successful delivery of Intravision projects. Experience will be provided across a range of services in the field including:

• Major cabling projects on large construction programs

• Cabling and audio visual service work

• Fibre and copper cabling

• Audio visual and data centre installations

• Civils infrastructure installations.

Trainees will complete two rotations in each area and at the end of the traineeship, be allocated to work in a specific area, aligned with your area of interest and skill sets.

Requirements:

  • Enjoy being part of a team

  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • No prior on-site experience required
  • Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
  • Mandatory Compliance Training - General Construction Industry Induction (white card), Asbestos Awareness, Work Safely with Asbestos Containing Material and Silica Awareness
  • Have or be able to gain a NV1 Security clearance
