About the company:
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated 3rd Year Roofing Apprentice to join their team in South Australia. In this role, you will build upon your previous experience and knowledge in roofing, assisting with a variety of installation, repair, and maintenance tasks for residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with experienced roofers, gaining hands-on experience in advanced roofing techniques while also taking on more responsibilities in project execution and team leadership.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in
- Assist in the installation of roofing systems, including metal sheeting, tiles, and flat roofing materials.
- Perform inspections and repairs of existing roofs, identifying and addressing issues such as leaks and damages.
- Take a lead role in specific tasks, demonstrating increased responsibility and initiative.
- Mentor and guide 1st and 2nd year apprentices, sharing knowledge and skills to help them develop.
- Safely operate and maintain roofing tools and equipment, ensuring proper usage and care.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to high-quality standards.
- Measure, cut, and shape roofing materials with precision, adhering to project specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment, reporting any hazards or incidents.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing or a related construction field.
- Proven ability to work safely and effectively at heights, with experience in various roofing systems.
- Familiarity with installation techniques, tools, and materials commonly used in the roofing trade.
- Experience in performing roof inspections and repairs is advantageous.
- Hold a valid white card
- Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to roofing.
